Size Guide – Essential Shorts

Our Essential shorts are high-performance, body-hugging training shorts made for combat sports, fitness, and functional training. They provide full mobility and compression-like support – without riding up or showing through.

How to measure:

  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, just above your hips – where the waistband sits.
  • Hip: Measure the widest part of your hips and glutes, standing with feet hip-width apart.
  • Length: Measure from waistband to hem on the outer leg.

Please note: all measurements in this size chart are taken from the garment laid flat, unworn. The fabric has stretch and will conform to your body when worn.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • How tight should these shorts be?
They’re designed as compression-style shorts – snug, but flexible. They mold to your body and provide support without digging in.
  • Do they run small?
Yes, they run slightly small. If you're in between sizes or have fuller hips or thighs, we recommend sizing up.
  • Are they squat-proof?
Yes – the fabric stays opaque even during deep movements like squats or kicks. Just make sure you’re wearing the correct size for full coverage.
  • Do the legs or waistband roll up?
Not if you wear the right size. A proper fit keeps everything in place during movement. Shorts that are too small may ride up.
  • Are these suitable for combat sports?
Definitely. These shorts are ideal for (kick)boxing, grappling, sparring, and high-intensity sessions. They stay in place and move with you.
  • Can I wear them casually?
Yes – many customers also use them for walking, cycling, or lounging. The look is sleek and sporty.

Note: These shorts fit tight. If you’re between sizes or want more comfort around hips and glutes – go up one size.
